Every project begins with a Complimentary Discovery Call and an in-home consultation to better understand your lifestyle, vision, functional needs, and aesthetic goals.
This initial phase allows us to thoughtfully explore your space, priorities, and the overall feeling you want your home to embody. If we decide to move forward together, we will prepare a customized full-service design proposal tailored specifically to your project, including an estimated scope of design hours required for the design phase.
During the Concept & Presentation phase, we schedule a time to take detailed site measurements, photograph the space, gather inspiration, and collect all information necessary to begin the design process. This phase also allows us to discuss your lifestyle needs, design preferences, and overall goals for the project. With this foundation in place, we begin developing the preliminary layout and overall design direction.
Once the initial concepts are prepared, we schedule a Conceptual Presentation where we walk you through the proposed vision for the space. This is an important collaborative step where your feedback, thoughts, and preferences help refine the design direction. Following the presentation, we further develop the concept and prepare detailed drawings, mood boards, finish selections, and curated design elements for the next phase of the project.
Once all design details have been finalized, G&P will prepare a comprehensive set of plans, specifications, and supporting project documentation. We will also coordinate and conduct walkthroughs with the general contractor and any subcontractors involved in the project.
Through our detail-oriented and highly organized approach, we provide contractors with clear and complete information, allowing for accurate and transparent project bids that reflect the true scope and cost of the work — minimizing the need for vague allowances or rough estimates.
At this stage of the process, the design phase is complete and the finalized drawing package is submitted by the contractor for permits, if required, as construction begins. While the formal design portion may be finished, G&P remains actively involved throughout the construction process.
We continue to provide ongoing support, guidance, and collaboration as needed to help ensure the design vision is executed with quality, precision, and integrity from start to finish.
Phase 5 takes place concurrently with Phase 4 and focuses on the procurement and coordination of materials, fixtures, furnishings, and finishing details for the project. During this phase, G&P will source, order, and manage any materials or fixtures provided through our team that are required for construction.
The General Contractor remains responsible for purchasing the majority of core building materials and construction-related finishes. In addition, G&P will carefully curate, purchase, and coordinate all furnishings, décor, and styling elements needed to complete the space and bring the overall design vision to life.
The final phase is truly everyone’s favorite — installation and reveal day. This is when all the layers of the design come together, and the vision fully comes to life.
During installation, G&P carefully coordinates and styles the space with furnishings, accessories, artwork, décor, and all final design elements. Every detail, down to the smallest finishing touch, is thoughtfully placed and professionally curated to create a polished and cohesive result.
Most importantly, this phase is a celebration of the completed project — a moment to experience your transformed home and enjoy the beauty, comfort, and intention behind every detail.
